New versions of old Blocks collectively collaborate to appropriate the little figure of the brave Iceman and his equipment. Repetition of massive strategically placed ice-Blockss allude to something 'out there'. Is the iceman characterised by self-exploitation? Could the iceman be a victim of commercial exploitation? Pressure is manifest, signifying fatigue, idleness and yet positivity. The iceman's properties look like lush toys from a distance. It's difficult to enter into this work because of how the aura of the sensational Iceman endangers the devious simplicity of a participation in the critical dialogue of the two Blocks. Kafe Smictiric on “Icepanding outwices 5” by aim Aim is consistently in a state of transition between painting + sculptural quality.In "Icepanding outwices 5",he achieves form and anti form, abstraction + objective figuration. The converging ice-blocks oscillate between indefinability and complete clarity. The extraordinary appearance of the performance artist, the Iceman, conveys in equal measure solidity and presence. Apparently the Iceman's stage presence was truly out of this world and aim succeeds in realising this other-worldly sense. Mingled with these qualities is a vaporous transient fragility. The painting clearly alludes to art history. Any one-sided interpretation of aim’s work falls short of doing it justice. Its significance is ultimately bound up with the wide range of themes that aim delves into majestically. “Icepanding outwices 5” bears witness to a vulnerable slickness of execution. As transitory as they are provisional, viewer’s feedback has mentioned both the loop of growth and decay. But above all viewers say they have been affected by a surge of intoxicating optimism.
